This section is in development.
The aim is to showcase my learning path through discovery and exploration of new tools and techniques. I will be adding comments with insights on the advantages and disadvantages of the reviewed tools, books, articles etc.
USEFUL TOOLS
Great tool for remote collaboration. The FigJam is a great alternative to Miro for workshops, ideation and other collaborative work. The above is on top of the the super powerful canvas for creating icons, user flows, ui component and full designs. The best part to me are the drawing tools with super handy shortcuts and really strong set of features for prototyping.
When designing for iPhone, IPad or Mac this this the place for reference. Getting familiar with these guidelines helps me not only to avoid reinventing the wheel but mostly apply best practises that simply work.
Probably the best tool for remote collaboration and workshoping. There is also a myriad of templates, diagrams, ideas for prioritising, generating ideas that add value to this billiant whiteboard tool.
Similarly to Apple's guidelines, this is my number one reference for Android and great inspiration for web designs. Why create new patterns if wolrd's top talent has already paved the way?
Adobe XD
Adobe products are industry standard. Unlike Illustrator this tool easy to pick up but super powerful. I love those unique features like voice control and auto animation which make the prototype look a bit more polished.
MarvelApp
My favourite tool for scrappy clickable prototypes based on paper drawings. Comes with a nice app. Mostly for mobile apps.
Dribble
A real mine of ideas and a great place to find inspiration.
Hotjar
Intuitive and powerful tool for getting customer insights. I totally love the recordings. Setting it up does not require a degree in molecular sciences which makes it really accessible.
